Bespoke facilitation

Bring in an outsider with insight

To me, the most striking thing was the journey that people went on over the space of that day. We began with everyone polite, but guarded, not really saying anything. But by the end, there was a very clear sea change…”

What is it?

Do you want to make changes to your company culture but don’t know where to start?

Or perhaps your staff survey has revealed low morale and you want to identify how you can improve things?

Maybe a team or group is having difficulty communicating or their productivity has dropped off?

You may not know exactly what the problem is, but you know you want things to change and what you have tried so far hasn’t worked.

It can be hard to clearly see the issues you’re facing from the inside. Bringing in an external resource to get perspective helps you uncover what is going on and using these insights, work towards a solution.

How does it work?

We start with discovery coaching. Organisations are made up of people, and people require solutions that recognise that they are individuals.

Any piece of bespoke facilitation starts with a series of one hour sessions with the individuals involved. If the target group is relatively small, every person will be interviewed individually.

Insights, repeated themes and trends from the discovery coaching will be collated and shape the next steps. This could be a workshop or group coaching session for all participants, the development of a training scheme or a pilot programme to test different approaches.

This is a bespoke programme, so the solutions are tailored to fit your needs.

What do you get?

That’s up to you - bespoke facilitation is tailored to meet your needs, with variable duration, methodologies and implementation approaches. The only element which is constant is the discovery phase, which is crucial to gather the insights from all participants.

When you are in the mix of leadership, it is easy to repeat or replay the same things over and over again but expect a different result. The session Beatrice designed empowered our team to explore their own way of delivering that allowed their personality and approach to shine through whilst the company maintained consistency.

Case study: Nick Johnson, CEO, Traverse

Building team connection

“Traverse’s leadership structure included two boards - one of trustees and one of directors. Beatrice came in to help us deal with the complex and rather difficult problem that the trustees and the directors were struggling to establish a productive working relationship. This was made worse by COVID and the lockdown. With all of our meetings moved to Zoom, we really suffered from a lack of the social currency that you get by physically seeing people on a regular basis.

“Beatrice began with a very thorough process of one to one sessions. She took the time to talk to all of the individuals involved, so she understood their backgrounds and their issues. Then we convened around the table to discuss it.

“To me, the most striking thing was the journey that people went on over the space of that day. We began with everyone polite, but guarded, not really saying anything. But by the end, there was a very clear sea change, and an appetite for one for us to see each other more regularly. I think that we actually perhaps all started to see each other as fully rounded human beings and individuals for the first time rather than that rancour in the corner who always says no to things.

“There were a few breakthrough moments. I thought people were really very candid and open about their own thoughts and how things could work. It was a good process, but it's part of a continuum. You don't just have one meeting, and then it's all sorted. I think we have made some real progress on our journey rather than a one stop fix. So it's a really good process.”
